What the studio has put in writing.

Two kinds of document live here. Standards — specs we publish under MIT license when a problem is better solved by something shared than by another proprietary product. And writing — essays and notes from inside the studio, published where anyone can read them.

Open standards

We publish a standard when we hit a problem that would be solved better by a shared spec than by another proprietary product. The goal is interoperability — and, where it applies, less wasted compute and a smaller carbon footprint.

  1. AAL v0.1 Preview Agent Affordance Layer An open standard for declaring per-page agent actions on the web — so an agent reads a page's intent instead of guessing from pixels. 20–30× fewer tokens than vision-based browser agents. Read the spec →
